Phone Case Sourcing Guide for Buyers
Practical sourcing guidance for phone case buyers. Prepare a useful project brief, compare specifications and ask the questions that affect fit, cost and delivery.
Phone Case Buyer Guide
1. Define the device range
List the exact phone models and market versions. Decide your launch priorities and split planned quantities by model and colour.
2. Choose the case style
Compare wallet, clear, magnetic, foldable and protective designs against customer needs. Define the essential features first, then compare materials, finish and packaging. See phone cases by style and device, then browse the product catalog for available specifications.
3. Compare like-for-like quotations
Use the same specification when requesting prices. Include branding, packaging, testing and shipping terms so that a low headline price does not hide a different scope.
4. Approve a representative sample
Check the case on the intended device. Review camera openings, button feel, ports, charging, accessory fit and packaging. Record the approved sample and specification revision.
5. Plan inspection and delivery
Agree the quality criteria, required test evidence, shipment method and target delivery date in writing. Keep the quantity matrix and packaging files aligned with the final order.
How to confirm device fit before ordering
Use the full device model and the exact case reference together. A brand, series name or similar appearance is not enough to establish compatibility.
- Identify the device: include the commercial name, model code and market version. Keep Pro, Plus, Ultra, Fold and Flip variants separate.
- Match the listing: record the product URL or SKU and the models explicitly listed for that case. Ask the team to confirm any shared-model fit.
- Review a sample: check camera openings, buttons, ports, screen edges and any hinge movement on the intended device.
- Check accessories separately: name the charger, mount, screen protector or stylus that needs to work with the case.
- Keep the approval record: save the confirmed model list, case reference and sample revision with the order.
A supplier-confirmed compatibility listing identifies the intended fit; it does not imply independent testing. For performance evidence, use the inspection and evidence checklist.
Phone Case Sourcing FAQs
Should I start with the phone brand or the case style?
Use the case style to define your product range and the brand plus exact model to confirm compatibility. Both are useful: the style describes the offer, while the model determines fit.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity is 500 pieces in total per order, with mixed models and colors. Please confirm the selected products and customization requirements when requesting a quotation. See the ordering FAQ.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Provide device models, case style, quantities per SKU, colours, branding, packaging, destination market, delivery date and any required tests.
How should I check magnetic compatibility?
Magnetic attachment and wireless charging are separate checks. Confirm the exact phone, case, charger and accessory combination you intend to use. Ask about product-specific test information, including ring alignment, attachment and charging behavior.
Can a case fit every model in a phone series?
Do not assume that it can. Confirm the exact model: dimensions, camera layouts and button positions can vary across a series.
What is the production lead time?
Typical production lead time is 15–30 days, depending on product type and order quantity. Confirm the production start point and schedule for your selected order in writing. Sampling, new development, dispatch arrangements and shipping transit time should be confirmed separately; this is not a guaranteed arrival window.
